I have to get the books out but I think by this time we’d made records up to 227mph with single runs up to 240+mph.
I’m pretty sure I remember hearing “I need to go through some of these old cans of paint before they’re wasted.”
Since the original race bike was put on the street pretty much permanently at this point the purpose built racer is now referred to as “The Race Bike”.
This awesomely brilliant Kawasaki green paint job got us into the 200MPH club for the first time. The green paint kind of marked the heyday for ProToys in many ways.
This version of the ProToys salt racer bike has the same KZ motor configuration (varying sizes from 750 to 1030 commonly). The notably the frame and exhaust are significantly different.
The blue and white body was the very first paint job on the original prototype fairing.
I included the the AirTech fiberglass pieces to show the resulting body kits that they made from our design.
This turbocharged Z1R Kawasaki was our first racebike. It has gone up to 198mph on the salt and has always been street legal. It’s still ridden regularly, often daily.
